About Me
Hello, I'm Ally! I am currently a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design studying photography and advertisement & branding. I am the proud Editor-in-Chief of the school's digital paper, District. I served as Vice President of the Analog & Digital Photo Club for one year, and President for another. I am currently an intern at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District where I photograph events and concerts. I am also an intern at the Savannah Ghost Pirates where I have the privilege of photographing professional hockey games. In the past, I have worked with non-profits like Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Reading is Fundamental, and The Des to create photographs, social media posts, and copy for their marketing strategies.
Growing up, I played every sport there was. From karate to golf, I tried it all. Sports created structure and discipline in my life from a young age. They encouraged me to push myself, practice constantly and consistently, and become a leader. Although I no longer play anything competitively, I've found myself obsessed with running to the point where I recently completed the New York City Marathon! As a result of all this, I am passionate about pursuing a career in sports advertising photography.
When I'm not taking photos, I write a column for District called "I'm Booked" where I express my love for reading. At SCAD, I've had the pleasure of participating in multiple SCADpro collaborations including the PGA Tour, Royal Sport, Susan G. Komen, Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, and Hyundai Mobis. I consider myself a dedicated leader with strong time-management skills. I am proficient in Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, and Capture One. Feel free to reach out to me through email, Instagram, or LinkedIn!
